What is Anomaly?
Anomaly is a high-power competition rocket designed, built, and launched for the 2026 NASA Student Launch, a 9-month project culminating with a final launch at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The program strictly mirrors the NASA engineering lifecycle, requiring teams to pass formal design reviews, rigorous safety inspections, and flight demonstrations to qualify for launch.
Responsibilities
I was a member of the avionics subteam, directly responsible for the mechanical packaging, electrical routing, and operational integration of the avionics bay.
Flight Computer and Ground Station: Integrated the Silicdyne Fluctus flight computer alongside the SteadyBlue portable Bluetooth ground station, configuring the setup for real-time telemetry streaming and ground monitoring.
Mechanical Design: Modeled the avionics bay in SolidWorks using full-length threaded rods and bulkhead U-bolts, ensuring the internal sled remained isolated from the high tension loads of parachute ejection.
